QUICK & EASY TO USE – This thermometer is well-built and easy to use – I was able to set it up and working in under a minute. It’s a no-touch or in-ear thermometer (there is a cap that you must remove if you want to use it in ear). The stand out feature is that it tells you if your reading is normal, elevated, or high by the color of the LED screen which I found to be a nice touch.

Small size and easy to use – The thermometer seems to be of good quality. The instruction manual is nicely printed and informative. It comes with a nice carrying pouch, making it easy to store or carry around. 2 AAA batteries are needed, but not included. It works a bit different from some of the other no-touch thermometers. It can be used as no-touch or in-ear checking. You select the age group button, then push the big button to turn it on. Then point the thermometer to the forehead between 0 to 3 cm (per the user manual), push the big button and release the button. The reading shows up immediately. Do not hold the button. I made that mistake when I first used it without reading the user manual. If you hold the button for 2 seconds, it goes into the memory review mode. If you continue to hold the button, 5 seconds later, it turns off the beep sound. If you turn off the sound by mistake, hold the button 5 seconds again to turn it back on. I also like the small size of this thermometer. Highly recommended.

Be sure to read the Quick Start Guide – I received my SUNCOO Digital Infrared Thermometer. After installing the 2 AAA batteries (not included), I read the Quick Start Guide, which took all of 30 seconds, and I was able to use the thermometer. It says to use it on your forehead you need to separate it from 0 to 1.18 inches. I used my finger as the separation distance, and it worked perfectly. I also used it in the ear, and usually got about .2 to .4 degrees warmer in my ear but both forehead and ear were in the green (good one beep) range. It also has a slider for different age groups which makes it perfect for testing the entire family. I have two other thermometers and this works much better and is simple to use. I highly recommend it.

It works, (now). – When I received this thermometer, I installed 2 AAA batteries, (not included), and could not get the unit to go past the on screen, pictured. I reread the manual making sure I was operating it correctly, I was. I contacted customer service and was guided through a reset and still no luck. They gave me an option of a refund or replacement. I opted for a replacement. I printed the return label and dropped it off at UPS. Three days later the replacement arrived and it works as advertised. I’m happy with the unit. It is easy to use, easy to read, and appears accurate. I am also very satisfied with customer service, glad I chose a replacement instead of a refund.
