Good product – Many people have told me I should take DHA vitamins of some sort to help the babies brain development, especially in the first few months of pregnancy. I decided to try these vitamins after doing some research and reading several great reviews for the product. I have been using this product for over a month along with my Rainbow Light One a Day Prenatal vitamin, and vitamin D to prepare for pregnancy in the near future. I take two of these vitamins after a light breakfast. So far I have had no stomach problems, or really any problems, taking these vitamins. They do have a slight fishy smell, but that is something that has never bothered me.

Good vs. Bad Orders of the Same Product – I ordered these through a vendor at Amazon.com in late June (Natural Health Formula Inc.) and they were great. When I ran out, I went back to Amazon.com and purchased them again, but this time through a different vendor (Team Nutrix LLC). They were HORRIBLE. Rancid fish stench that I had to wash off my hands after touching them and gagged at opening the bottle. I just contacted Amazon.com to see what I should do to return them or get my money back since the bottle has been opened. If your bottle reeks of fish, something is wrong. They shouldn’t smell like that. The first bottle I purchased was fine. I’m not slamming the vendor – it could have been a bad bottle or batch. This is just an FYI in case you haven’t ordered them before and you get them and they stink horribly.

No fish burps! – I am very pleased with the Nordic Naturals prenatal DHA softgels. My prenatal vitamin I am taking (I’m currently breastfeeding my first child and was encouraged to continue taking my vitamins) does not have DHA so I purchased this to supplement. It is a bit expensive but the best kind I have tried so far (I tried Nature Made brand DHA but that had me tasting fish for a few hours in the morning which I couldn’t stand) with no side effects. I will probably just purchase a prenatal vitamin that already has DHA but in the meantime will take these until I finish my current bottle of vitamins. I am on my second bottle. The serving size is two softgels so one bottle lasts me 45 days.
