Great product to use on newborns – Highly recommended.. if your a parent scared of hurting your newborn by cutting their nails this is the tool to use. It’s recommended to use it when your breast feeding or bottle feeding. Read the instructions on which tip to use.

Handy nail trimmer for baby, but the built-in light is useless – The nail trimmer is easy to use and makes trimming/cutting the nails of my baby so much easier than a nail clipper. I love that it doesn’t hurt my baby (even when I accidently touched the rotating disk to her skin), yet is very effective in trimming my little one’s nails. It even works for adult nails (though I haven’t had the chance to try it yet). The trimmer comes in a nice case that makes it easy to travel with. The only reason why I took off a star is because the built-in light is useless. The position of the light is too low so it shines directly onto the back of the rotating disk and not on the nails. This is a design fail.

I usually have my husband file my baby’s nails while I’m feeding her or I will do it while bathing her. She doesn’t even flinch or seem bothered by it at all. I didn’t really notice the light helping much. I actually didn’t even know there was a light until it was an criteria for rate in this review. Despite that, I highly recommend this tool to get rid of baby’s sharp little nails.
