It actually DOES work but patience and some knowledge helps – This review is written with the presumption the buyer does not work in the medical field and is not a med student. It assumes the buyer is getting it for personal use only. I’ve actually had mine since 2017 and any problems I have had in using this were human error that was easy for me to quickly fix.

Painful to use – These arrived several days late from Amazon only to be excruciating to use. I can barely tolerate trying to find a fetal heartbeat while wearing them and cannot find any softer replacement ear pieces that seem compatible.

Be patient, it works – It look me a few times to find baby’s heartbeat but I got it! Make sure the ear pieces are pointing toward your face and the room is super quiet. I have the best luck first thing in the morning when my house and my digestion are totally quiet. Also that both pieces are firmly attached. Some days I can’t find it and other days I can. Just be patient and keep trying. For the price I’m grateful to have this tool at home. My only complaint is that it hurts my ears to wear it for too long but for the price I’ll get over it.

Came used !! – At first glance of receiving my package I noticed, that it had double sealed tape where the bottom layer was already broken. Then when I opened the box I noticed that the contents were already used. It was dirty with white specs and dirty. I’m extremely surprised as I ordered this brand new not used. I’m seriously disappointed in the condition I received this. Do not recommend.

Meh, Buy at Your Own Risk – I wouldn’t have bought it if I had known it’s not eligible for return. I am almost 18 weeks pregnant and not only can I not find my baby’s heartbeat but I also can’t find my own heartbeat. I even tried putting it directly over my heart and I heard nothing. My husband tried finding my heartbeat and the baby’s too and couldn’t. Not sure what’s missing but I have tried multiple times with no luck.
