      Seems like it had been used or at least opened. – When I received this my daughter was very sick. I needed to buy a thermometer that would be accurate at reading her temp. Because of the good reviews I purchased this. Unfortunately, when I received the box, it seems the product had already been opened. Possibly even used which is esp DISGUSTING since this a rectal thermometer. There was no way I was going to risk putting a used thermometer in my child. I’m very disappointed.
